Dr. Sudhir Mehta – Chairman & Managing Director

Dr. Sudhir Mehta is a visionary entrepreneur and a seasoned leader with a proven track record of driving innovation and excellence. As the Chairman and Managing Director of EKA and Pinnacle Industries, India’s leading automotive products and specialty vehicles company, Dr. Mehta has consistently demonstrated his ability to build and grow successful ventures across industries.

He is the founder of the AIC-Pinnacle Entrepreneurship Forum, an industry-backed startup incubator supported by the Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, Ministry of MSME, and Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India. Beyond his entrepreneurial pursuits, Dr. Mehta is a dedicated contributor to policy and research. He serves as a Member of the Managing Committee of Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) and as an Advisor to the Nation First Policy Research Centre (NFPRC), reflecting his commitment to nation-building and impactful policymaking.

A graduate of DePauw University, USA, with an MBA from the University of Chicago, USA, Dr. Mehta combines academic excellence with practical leadership. His multifaceted expertise continues to drive EKA’s vision of delivering sustainable, efficient, and innovative mobility solutions.

Mr. Rohit Srivastava – Business Head & Chief Growth Officer

With over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing, Mr. Rohit brings deep expertise in driving business growth. Prior to EKA, he was the Head of Commercial Vehicles at Tata Motors and served as CEO of Tata Marco Polo. Rohit has also been a key member of various high-level committees at Tata Group, including the Capital Investment and Risk Management Committees.

Mr. Nobuyoshi Umezawa – Chief Strategy Officer

A seasoned expert in project management and investment in EPC, PPI, and PFI projects, Mr. Nobuyoshi has extensive experience at Mitsui. He has served on the boards of several organisations across the UK, Latin America, and the U.S., contributing strategic insights to global ventures.

Mr. Rakesh Lodha – Chief Commercial Officer

Mr. Rakesh brings over 19 years of experience in finance, particularly in Tata Motors. He has held critical roles, including CFO and Company Secretary for Tata’s EV Bus Division. Mr. Rakesh has a strong background in plant finance and led the finance function for international export business.

Mr. Sohel Merchant – Chief Innovation Officer

With over 20 years of experience in the automotive sector, including 14 years in electric vehicles, Mr. Sohel has co-founded Canoo and led the company’s vehicle engineering and launches as CTO. He has also worked at Tesla, driving innovation in the EV industry.

Mr. Zoeb K – Chief Product Officer

Mr. Zoeb has 26+ years of experience in electric and conventional vehicle development, having held leadership positions at Mahindra & Mahindra, Ola Electric, and Tata Motors. He was instrumental in developing India's first indigenously designed electric two-wheeler and a full range of electric and hybrid buses. Mr. Zoeb has received several industry accolades, including the Indian Automotive Technology & Innovation Awards.

Mr. Anil Bedre – Group Chief Information Officer

Mr. Anil has over 25 years of experience leading IT and business functions across the automotive, power, and retail industries. He has worked with prominent brands like Tata, M&M, and D’Mart, driving IT transformation and innovation at scale.

Mr. Mohit Sharma - Chief Human Resource Officer

Mr. Hirdesh Thakur – Executive Director

With over 30 years of experience, Mr. Hirdesh is the former founder of an electric two-wheeler company and a lithium-ion battery pack factory. He has a strong background in developing new business ventures in defense, railways, and solid waste management. At EKA, he is responsible for Business Strategy and Technology Management, driving key innovations and growth.

Mr. B Anil Baliga – President, Operations

Mr. Anil brings over 40 years of experience in the commercial vehicle industry, having previously led the VECV bus division. Under his leadership, VECV’s market share grew from 2% to 26%. He has played a pivotal role in establishing one of the most automated high-capacity bus plants, capable of manufacturing 60-80 buses per day across various variants.

Mr. Vijay Yelne – President, Export Marketing & SCM

With over 20 years of experience at Cummins Engine Company, Mr. Vijay has successfully established two diesel assembly facilities. His leadership in mentoring Six Sigma projects has earned him numerous accolades. At EKA, he oversees export marketing and supply chain management, driving operational excellence across global markets.

Mr. Lakshminarayan M – Chairman of The Board , TVS Automotive Systems Limited

A distinguished leader in the automotive industry, Mr. Lakshminarayan is the Chairman of the Board at TVS Automotive Systems Limited. With decades of experience, he serves on the boards of several prestigious companies, including ZF CVS (India) Ltd, TVS Automotive Solutions, TVS Electronics, Sansera Engineering, Wendt India, and Brose Automotive India. His extensive expertise in automotive systems and corporate governance enriches EKA's strategic vision.

Ms. Rashmi Urdhwareshe – President SAE India, Former Director ARAI

An influential figure in Indian automotive innovation, Ms. Rashmi Urdhwareshe is the President of SAE India and the former Director of ARAI. She has been instrumental in shaping India's automotive policies, particularly in the realm of electric vehicles. Her dedication to advancing sustainable mobility and her policy expertise provide invaluable guidance to EKA’s mission.
